Today we talk about blasphemy law and its related some important questions:
- What is blasphemy law?
- What is the meaning of blasphemy is Islam?
- What should we do with a blasphemer according to the Islam & Quran?
- Is a blasphemer should be punished of death?
According to Qur’an, a blasphemer should be hanged.
Indeed, those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) and remain engaged in creating mischief in the land, their punishment is that they should be slain, or hanged to death, or their hands and their feet on opposite sides should be cut off, or they should be exiled far from (i.e., deprived of moving about in) the homeland (i.e., either by banishment or by imprisonment). That is the humiliation for them in this world, and for them there is a terrible torment in the Hereafter (as well).
(Al Maida, verse 33)
Surely, those who offend Allah and His Prophet, Allah curses them in the world and in the Hereafter and He has prepared for them a disgraceful torment.
(Al Ahzab, verse 57)
(These) accursed people (blaspemers), wherever found, are to be seized and every one of them to be killed (as punishment for their rebellious activities, making them awful signs, to eliminate the threats to peace once and for all).
This practice of Allah has (continued) through generations that have passed before, and you will never find any amendment in the way practiced by Allah.
(Al Ahzab, verse 61-62)
These verses are explain the blasphemy law and what should we do with blasphemers.
So, (O Beloved,) by your Lord, they cannot become true believers until they make you a judge in every dispute that arises amongst them, and thereafter they do not feel any resentment in their hearts against the judgment that you make, and submit (to your decision) gladly, with total submission.
(Al Nisaa’, verse 65)
This verse is based on the fact that two men took their case to Rasoolullah, He decided them. The decision was made against him, he said, "Send us to Hazrat Omar. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Yes,” They both went to Hazrat Umar (RA), When he came to the Hazrat Omar, the one who had decided, he said, ‘O Ibn’Khatab, ‘Messenger of Allah has decided in my favor & he said, "Send us to Omar. Hazrat Omar said, ‘Is it the matter’, he said, yes. So Hazrat Omar said, "Sit in your own place, I judge you, he took a sword and turned towards them and killed him. The second ran to Rasoolullah and said, ‘By Allah, Hazrat Umar killed my companion. Rasoolullah said, "I do not think that he should sacrifice the life of Momin, So Allah sent down this verse and the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) declared the blood of his(blasphemr) servant as a falsehood(and thats blasphemy law).
